Think about the advertising campaigns that surround you. In how many of them is photography the prominent element?
The expression “a picture is worth a thousand words” is considered a gospel in the advertising world, which is why the vast majority of advertising campaigns are usually accompanied by short but captivating texts. The image is the medium that is used to convey the greater portion of the message.
An image serves as a kind of hook that holds the consumer; a photograph is able to identify the benefits of a product, and to create emotional reactions in the imaginary of the target audience. The image attracts the viewer and is also the first thing the consumer will keep in his memory.
Advertising images are used on virtually all advertising media, on billboards and in magazines, posters and leaflets, catalogs or brochures and online. These can be direct representations of a product or model, or they can incorporate complex graphics and use the latest post-production techniques to show that the product or service is at the forefront.
That said, mentioning the need to use advertising photography services becomes almost redundant, given the importance of photography in the success of a campaign.
