The art of advertising photography

Think about the advertising campaigns that surround you. In how many of them is photography the prominent element?

The expression “a picture is worth a thousand words” is taken as gospel in the advertising world, which is why the vast majority of advertising campaigns are usually accompanied by short, yet catchy texts. The image is the medium that is used to convey the largest portion of the message.
An image serves as a kind of hook that hooks the consumer; a photograph is able to identify the benefits of a product, and to create emotional reactions in the imagination of the target audience. The image attracts the viewer and is also the first thing that the consumer will keep in his memory.

Advertising images are used in virtually all advertising media, on billboards and in magazines, on posters and in flyers, in catalogs or brochures, and online. These can be direct representations of a product or model, or they can incorporate complex graphics and use the latest post-production techniques to show that the product or service is cutting edge.
That said, mentioning the need for advertising photography services becomes almost redundant, given the importance that photography has in the success of a campaign.
