Like music, photography is an art form mightier than words. It is an interesting form of art, akin to the human eye. The eyelid is the shutter, the cornea and the lens work together to provide the images, the iris controls the amount of light that enters the eye and the crystalline lens produces clear and well-defined images.
Photographs are created by photographers, not by their cameras. The former will always be influenced by sounds, odors and environments, by the feelings and experiences that inspire them. This complexity determines the brain’s interpretation of images seen through the eyes. The essence of a photograph lies in what is seen by the photographer and his ability to record what he sees.
Francisco Machado represents the third generation of a family that never failed to innovate and rediscover photography in over 80 years of history and tradition.
